We invite all parents of teens to join us! Our purpose is to strengthen families and build community by coming together in Christ through sharing, having fun, learning and praying together.
Parents meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month after the LIFE TEENMass from 7:00 - 8:30pm in the lower Level.
One of the primary themes of Vatican II was (and still is) the Church calling out to the lay faithful. The Church fully recognizes "the family in the modern world...has been beset by many profound and rapid changes that have affected [our] society and culture."
Today we live in a non-Christian Western World culture under the guise of secularism, thefamily unit has become the last stand on Christian life and values. But, we do not stand alone! The Church of Jesus Christ stands firmly with us.
It is through the Catholic Church that we receive both the natural and supernatural strength and grace required for us to stand firm in our faith with confidence. One way the Church nourishes us, beyond the sacramental life, is through the powerful and insightful documents (apostolic exhortations) of our papal fathers. Truly, these documents remain unknown to many of us today. This is unfortunate as they contain treasures of wisdom, knowledge, and truth that speaks directly to our situation today. Below are two critical papal documents that are a must read for all parents!
We strongly encourage you to download, read, study, reflect, and pray over these two beautifully written papal documents from our blessed John Paul II. It is imperative, as parents especially, to know our faith so that we are equipped to live and share our faith to its fullest!
